The members of the East Hampton Arts & Culture Commission (EHACC) were thrilled to award this year's EHACC Capstone Grant of $200 to East Hampton High School Senior Isabella DelOrfano. Isabella used the funds to purchase supplies to design and sew her own prom dress. Each year, graduating seniors are required to prepare a Capstone Project, which is a multifaceted assignment that serves as a culminating academic and intellectual experience for the students.
Capstone Projects may take a wide variety of forms, but most are long-term investigative projects that culminate in a final product, presentation, or performance.
Isabella wore her hand made gown to this year's East Hampton High School Prom on May 18 and exhibited during a Capstone Project Exhibit at East Hampton High School on May 23.
