Art Purchase Award 2019

During the recent East Hampton Art Association (EHAA) art show, members of the East Hampton Arts& Culture Commission (EHACC) purchased two pieces of artwork by local artists Cecilia Peterson of Colchester and Skye Garofalo of Moodus.

Each year EHACC purchases artwork at the annual EHAA art show that is made by an East Hampton artist or depicts an East Hampton scene. This year's art purchases depict a winter scene of East Hampton's Comstock Covered Bridge by Peterson and a painting of graffiti art on a Summit Street factory building in East Hampton titled Free Love by Garofalo.

"Comstock Covered Bridge in Winter" will be donated to the East Hampton Senior Center and "Free Love" will be donated to Center School, where the pieces can be enjoyed by the East Hampton community. Other artwork purchased by EHACC can be found at the Middle Haddam Library, East Hampton Town Hall, East Hampton Youth & Family Services Department and East Hampton High School.
