IMG_2153.jpg

The East Hampton Arts & Culture Commission (EHACC) has donated a painting to Center School as part of the commission's Art Purchase Award initiative. Each year the commission purchases a painting that is either created by an East Hampton Artist and/or depicts an East Hampton scene. This year's work titled "Free Love", by Moodus artist Skye Garofalo, depicts street art on a former factory building on Summit Street in East Hampton.

The mission of the Art Purchase Award is to support local artists by purchasing their work and then exhibiting it in public spaces for members of the community to enjoy. Previous years' Art Purchase Awards can be seen in the East Hampton Town Hall, the Middle Haddam Library, East Hampton Youth & Family Services and East Hampton High School.
